In a small village lived a boy named Rahul. Rahul was very truthful and honest. He always spoke the truth and fulfilled his promises.


One day, Rahul's father handed him the responsibility of his shop. Rahul looked after the shop and always treated the customers with truth and honesty.


A customer gave Rahul Rs. 1000 and said, "Give me goods worth Rs. 500." Rahul gave goods worth Rs. 500 to the customer and returned Rs. 500 in return.


The customer said to Rahul, "Why did you return me Rs. 500? I did not ask you to do so." Rahul said, "I promised you that I will give you the right goods and return the right money in return."


The customer saw Rahul's truth and honesty and appreciated him a lot. The customer gave Rahul a big prize and said, "You are really a truthful and honest boy."


 Rahul's truthfulness and honesty inspired the people of the village and they all started trying to be truthful and honest like Rahul.


From this story, we learn that with truthfulness and honesty, we can make our lives successful and respectable.
